The UK House of Lords Justice and Home Affairs Committee published its report All families matter: An inquiry into family migration in February 2023, and debated it on 20 September 2023.

“The report explores the impact of family migration policies on families and society, including the experience of separated families. The committee finds that current family migration policies fail both families and society and advocates for new policies grounded in humanity and decency.”

The PIs of the Brexit Couples Project, Katharine Charsley and Helena Wray, successfully completed the research project ‘Kept Apart – Couples and families separated by the UK immigration system’.
